There were 4 reports recently I have received regarding entering username and password, then click to Begin Playing, but nothing happens. Does anyone have solution for this? Thanks!

There are also reports on irrelevant site (e.g a backpack girl advertisement site) displayed when type in www.webkinz.com. Try typing in “http://www2.webkinz.com/us_en/” see if it solve your problem.

“For those getting the backpack girl issue when going to webkinz.com, this is some kind of DNS issue. If you change your DNS servers from the ones your ISP uses to another such as openDNS it will some the domain resolving issue.

I recommend using openDNS anyway because most ISPs greatly neglect their DNS servers and it can really slow down the time it takes for domains to resolve.

Go to http://www.opendns.com/ or follow these instructions:

Go to ‘Start/Settings/Control Panel/Network Connections’ and select your network adaptor. Click ‘properties’, then select ‘TCP/IP Protocol’ and click ‘properties’ for that. Change your setting for DNS servers from ‘Obtain a DNS server address automatically’ to ‘Use the following DNS server address’.

Enter the following IPs for preferred and alternate:
Primary DNS Server : 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS Server : 208.67.220.220

Click OK and OK again to close all the networking windows. Reboot.

It’s too technical for me, anyway, it has already helped 2 worried mum and dad to solve their Webkinz. hopes it will helps you too!

I am getting tremendous comments and email from worried mum about getting into a blank white screen every attempt to login to Webkinz.com. Here, I am compiling a list of possible solutions to solve your problem. Hope this helps. :)

• Uninstalling Real Player (success cases = 9)
• Contacting support@webkinz.com (success cases = 1)
• Using Windows XP not Vista (success cases = 2)
• Disable RealPlayer’s Download & Recording feature (success cases = 12)
  1. Start RealPlayer
  2. Open the Tools Menu
  3. Select Preferences…
  4. Select the Download & Recording category
  5. Uncheck the Download & Recording checkbox
• Uninstall QUICKTIME player and ITUNES (success cases = 1)
• Installing another browser - e.g Mozilla Firefox (success cases = 2)
• Installing Flash Player (success cases = 1)
• Typing http://www2.webkinz.com/us_en/instead of webkinz.com (success cases = 6)

Another Webkinz mother Jennifer also having trouble logging into Webkinz.com for his son. His son Webkinz pet can no longer able to login and he couldn’t find the tag from his animal… Anyone can help?

I have received an email today from Natalie asking for troubleshooting help, saying that she actually got into a blank white screen every attempt to login to Webkinz.com. Does any Webkinz fan has similar problem? What would be the solution to this? She has tried install Flash into the machine and no problem getting into other flash sites.

I am just curious, besides getting help from Webkinz login, is there any other way, we can contact Webkinz.com?

Barbie has recently expanded it’s online world for girls !!! Encouraged by the recent surge up of kid’s virtual world like Webkinz, Barbie has taken new shape as she hit the stores this week. In a form of a MP3 player with a USB port beneath her feet.

There lies another key for the girls to unlock the online world on BarbieGirls.com where girls can chit chat, decorate room and shop besides sharing beauty tips. The toy is selling at $60 with a MP3 hold up to 120MP3 or 240WMA file songs. When dock into the computer, it unlocks online Barbie.

Like many other virtual world, girls are able to create their unique characters on BarbieGirls.com. The MP3 can be unplugged and not needed for future access once registered.

In terms of security, parental permission is required for play and interact on BarbieGirls.com. Chatting on site is monitored and guided. Sharing of personal information is strictly prohibited and restricted. For example, when typing “mum” or numbers, these words will be filtered and won’t appear on chat box.

There are 2 levels of chat, one take place in the public and another in girl’s room. When chatting to public, girls are limited to pre-selected phrases in a drop down box. Another secret chat took place in girl’s room with her physical connected friends. They are more freely to chat but inappropriate phrases or words will not be approved and do not make it to the recipient.
